Exploring code / art / data

I am always on a quest to start a new hobby and learn a new skill. Outside of work and my commissions, I've been exploring game design/development, glassblowing, and data analytics.

What started as a joke over drinks with friends has turned into a months-long ongoing project of adding in my friends' favourite beers to a beloved game - Minecraft.

With Minecraft's Forge, I use Java to code silly new items and features into the game, and create custom skins and visuals with Procreate.

I've been making art with my hands since I could walk - scultping, knitting, drawing, painting, and now... sticking them near open flames to melt glass into beautiful designs and wearable art.

The first step was being hired by Canadian musician Fanclubwallet to create their artist website.

The second step was better understanding the beast I'd built for them to drive user traffic to their site when it mattered - before video and music releases.

Using Google Analytics and my growing knowledge of UX design, I've been updating their site to improve reader retention, while maintaining their organic and friendly brand.
